C44300 – Admiralty brass – CuZn28Sn1
The anti-corrosive properties of Admiralty brass are well-suited to use with contaminated water.
Inhibited Admiralty brass tubes (C44300) offer effective corrosion resistance, making them ideal for use in steam condensers cooled with fresh, salt, or brackish water. These tubes are also widely used in heat exchangers within oil refineries, where they withstand severe corrosion from sulfur compounds and contaminated water.
In power plants, Admiralty brass tubes are also utilized in feed-water heaters to preheat the water before entering the boiler.
